Mr. Sjauw is a Managing Partner of City Construction Partners. He oversees all pre-construction and construction activities as well as design development and project management during the pre-development and construction phases. Prior to forming City Construction Partners, Mr. Sjauw was solely responsible for all activities of S2 Construction. Mr. Sjauw grew the firm from being the only employee to managing a staff of 20 and overseeing multiple construction projects valued at over $150 million.
Throughout his 15 year career, Mr. Sjauw held executive positions at several private real estate firms to manage and build the in-house development and construction divisions. He has developed and built approximately $500 million of ground up development projects totaling over 750 residential units and over one million square feet throughout New York City.
Mr. Sjauw has a wealth of knowledge of the entire development process from acquisition, finance, zoning, design, entitlements, project management and construction which has resulted in projects being delivered on time and within budget. Mr. Sjauw’s proficiency in construction and real estate development is displayed by his proven track record of assembling superior teams and successful projects that have an emphasis on design and value.
Earlier in Mr. Sjauw’s career, he worked as an Electrical Engineer designing residential and office buildings in New York City. Mr. Sjauw earned his BS in Electrical/Computer Science Engineering from New York Institute of Technology and a MS in Real Estate Development from Columbia University.
Mark Gold is a Managing Partner at City Construction Partners. Mr. Gold shares responsibilities for all company operations; including overseeing accounting and financing.
Mr. Gold has over 20 years of real estate investment, development, and construction experience. Prior to joining City Construction Partners; Mr. Gold was a Principal, Partner and one of the founders of Silvercup Properties where he was solely responsible for all day to day activities, including acquisitions, financing, and overseeing all project development and construction. He has worked on the development of over 1,000 units of rental and for sale housing, a large scale rezoning, large scale remediation as well as several commercial projects.
Mr. Gold received an Master of Science in Real Estate from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rutgers University.
